Evridiki has not signed contract
Eurovision-greece reports today that having contacted CyBC, there may be a last minute complication with Evridiki. They say that there she does not agree with some of the terms of the contract to represent Cyprus at the Eurovision Song Contest in Helsinki and so far, the contract remains unsigned.
As for the rumors claiming that the Cypriot song will be partly or entirely in French, CyBC said that they have heard no songs yet whatsoever, so there is no foundation at all to this information.
CyBC confirmed that there will be no national final for Cyprus this time. Last year, there were a lot of heated discussions and unpleasant rumours about the results having been rigged to ensure that Anette Artani won the event, something that CyBC is keen on avoiding this time.
The fact remains that Cyprus needs to be very careful and choose wisely because – due to Annet Artani’s 15th place in the semi final in Athens - they find themselves having to face 28 countries in the most difficult semi final in the history of the contest.
