Cypriot newspaper Politis reports what we know for the past 2 years. Evridiki and Dimitris Korgialas have received an invitation from Cypriot national broadcaster to save - represent the honour of the island in the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest. The newspaper claims that the duo has accepted the invitation of the broadcaster. The specific newspaper which is one of the most popular in Cyprus is not exactly friendly to the choice of the broadcaster. It is reported in the article that Evridiki is obsessed with the contest and Mr. Korgialas is not Cypriot thus he cannot represent the island (well does the author of the article watches the contest at all lately?).

Evridiki first appeared in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1986 entry as backing vocalist for Elpida. In 1992 and in 1994 she might not got in the top 10 but she has left the best impressions and she is considered popular at least among the Eurofan community. Oikotimes.com has received this information a while ago but there was no verification from the broadcaster or from the artists (at least officially). The inside information we receive from Greek journalists searching the issue is that there will be songs submitted to the broadcaster and there will be a song selection. Wise move?
